Bird Becomes A Jet

Former Sydney Roosters Knock On Effect NSW Cup player and North Sydney Bears NSW Cup player Corey Ross has signed for the Ipswich Jets, which takes immediate effect.

This comes just one day after Ross was named in the NSW City side set to take on NSW Country, and thus being forced to relinquish the representative honour to take up the opportunity in the northern state.

Corey had his first taste of NRL in the 2024 Pre-Season Trials with the Sydney Roosters, during which Legendary commentator Andrew Voss referred to Ross as Larry Bird due to his striking resemblance to the Boston Celtics Champion.

He hopes to secure a regular starting spot in the Jets Qld Cup squad.
